Since 2018 we have been living in the beautiful Eifel region – more precisely at the Hinkelshof, a former country inn that was known for its “sleeping in the hay”.
Why did we choose the South Eifel? To escape the stress and noise of cities. To spend more time in nature. To have more space for our self-sufficient garden and our animals. To live in a village community where neighbors know each other and support each other. We found all of this in the beautiful South Eifel. And now we want to share our space with people who are looking for a break from everyday life, want to spend time in nature with their children and breathe in the country air. We warmly invite you to become part of our Hinkelshof adventure. Welcome:)
Our mini pig, the cat and the chickens
Our pig Jacky, our cat Erna and our chickens are at home at the Hinkelshof. The chickens provide us with fresh eggs every day. Anyone who’d like to is welcome to help us feed them or give them a stroke.
courtyard
In our courtyard, you’ll find many cozy corners with a playground, loungers, tables, and chairs. Plenty of space for reading, grilling, and relaxing.
Community makes friends
The Hinkelshof offers our guests great opportunities to spend time, socialize, eat together, grill, and much more. But it also provides quiet corners for relaxation, reading, or simply birdwatching.
The old Hinkelshof – from farm to restaurant to guesthouse.
When we took over the Hinkelshof, a real hodgepodge of antiques, art and junk awaited us. The previous owners were antique dealers and left us a large collection in more or less good condition. The Hinkelshof celebrated its 100th anniversary in 2024!
